DETECT DIY is a Do-It-Yourself resource kit to help you identify patients with CKD, or at-risk of CKD, or may benefit from a clinical review. DETECT steps you through patient identification and recalls using your own practice software.

What is an SQL code and how do you use it?
Custom SQL (Structured Query Language) Query: is a automated search code to paste into your Best Practice software to quickly identify patients. By using SQL queries, users can systematically filter and identify specific groups of patients based on diagnosis codes, prescription records, age, and many other clinical criteria.
Step 1:
Identify diagnosed CKD patients
Review for optimal management
Use this customised code to identify patients with CKD and who are not prescribed an SGLT2i
Search Criteria: eGFR 20 - <45 mL/min/1.73m2 OR eGFR 45-90 mL/min/1.73m2 + uACR >22.6 mg/mmol, may or may not be on ACE/ARB, no SGLT2i in past 12m. A clinical review is suggested.

Identify undiagnosed CKD patients
Review for diagnosis & management
Use this customised code to identify patients at-risk of CKD
Search Criteria: eGFR 20 - 75 mL/min/1.73m2, history of ACE/ARB and/or metformin, no SGLT2i in past 12m. A clinical review is suggested.
